Yasuhiro Usui began to play a guitar from his junior year in middle school. After entering the university, he performed a wide range of music: electric guitar and then moved to jazz. In 1990, Usui was shocked by improvisation performance he experienced at KUKU in Nagoya. Then he began to improvise as his own unit SEDGE, Satoko Fujii Orchestra Nagoya, Shibusashirazu Orchestra, Okidoki, Ryorchesta and Tokaido Smog Brass among others. Collaborating with worldwide top musicians, he has participated in almost a hundred concerts annually. Albums he produced such as Satoko Fujii Orchestra Nagoya’s three recordings, Elliott Sharp Duo recording and Okidoki’s are highly recognized all over the world. Interviewed by the world famous jazz magazine “All about Jazz” several times, he got offers for performance from cities abroad such as Beijing, New York, Paris and Germany. In 2009, he produced and planned “Asian Meeting Festival” where various Asian artists including Yoshihide Otomo were introduced. At the same time, he enthusiastically collaborates with various genres including performance and calligraphy. He currently resounds improvised way of thinking widely that he uses during performance.

Ryoko Ono is alto saxophone and flute player. She is a member of SAXRUINS, aDuo with well known drummer in the world Tatsuya Yoshida. She is based in Nagoya and mainly plays improvised music but also plays beyond genre such as blues, rock, noise, progressive rock and so on. Her style is unique, incorporating unusual sound for interplay and romantic element with electronics. She joined Asian Music Festival, Yoshihide Otomo Produced, in 2009 and 2015.

Taro Tatsumaki is a member of TURTLE ISLAND, NICE VIEW and VAMPILLIA. TURTLE ISLAND is a band that depends on members of Japanese traditional percussion to play bamboo flute, guitar, bass, and drums. This band has been invited many festival in the world. They were invited to the Glastonbury Festival in 2014. Taro sometime plays in the Shibusa-Shirazu Orchestra, a well known jazz big band in Japan. He also plays solo and teaches drums. He is a totally unexpected musician, rather than just a drummer.
